Single-head CNC edge polishing machine completely automatic for marble, granite, engineered quartz and ceramic for straight edges and shaped edge profiles.
Software comes standard with popular profiles making it easy and fast for the operator to select the desired edge detail. It is possible to modify add new or change existing profiles geometric parameters. For instance, a bevels dimension can be changed, which will change the series of tools utilized and the working parameters. The Athena can work on 5 parts of varying material thicknesses and different edge details concurrently.
Its versatility and precision enable it to create a wide range of edge profiles, from simple bevels to intricate bullnose edges, catering to diverse customer preferences and design requirements.
To prevent the machinery from rusting, its structure, and main parts are metalized through a modern treatment that follows different phases: sandblasting, metallization with zinc wire, priming coat with zinc phosphate epoxy product, and final painting with a high solid polyacrylic enamel. The painted covers are subject to cataphoresis treatment which follows different phases: degreasing of the piece, spry or dipping pretreatment, electroplating bath which uses electric power to plate the paint to make a uniform skin, after-washing, and furnace baking.
Push-button control panel with coloured visualized touch screen keyboard. Latest-generation electronics that, associated with a 15” screen, allows for easy programming. Touch screen computer gives operator ability to draw on the screen not regular shapes.
A physical bar on the backside of the machine, is used as a reference point for the operator to make placing the pieces easier and faster.
(8) Pneumatic pistons hold parts in place while the machine is in operation.
The Athena is equipped with an automatic tool changer that services (12) positions that hold the abrasives and polishing pads. Option to (2) additional positions for a total of (14) positions.
Athena consists of a spindle on a carriage that traverses across a fixed work bench.
Pneumatic turntable is used to make loading parts more ergonomic and safer for the operator (max load 5,300 Pounds).
This automatic sensor is used for piece positioning, making it faster and easier for the operator place parts.
(4) Rows of multi-directional wheels in the bench make it easier for the operator to move pieces in and out of the machine. Wheels are moved up and down pneumatically.
